Javier Arenas Pérez was born in Mexico City on December 3, 1960, and trained at the National School of Plastic Arts (San Carlos) and La Esmeralda, studying painting, sculpture, and engraving. His work has been commissioned by government agencies and major Mexican companies, and shown in group exhibitions across Mexico City since the late 1970s. He has sculpted for D'Argenta since 1988, bringing a fine-art sensibility to pieces ranging from wildlife to religious subjects.
