A Chac Mool figure — the distinctive pre-Columbian form of a reclining figure, head turned 90 degrees, supporting a offering bowl on its stomach. The form first appeared around the 9th century CE across the Valley of Mexico and northern Yucatán, and was associated with sacrificial offerings and, in Aztec contexts, with Tlaloc, the rain god. At 6 kilograms, one of the more historically specific and well-documented pieces in D'Argenta's pre-Hispanic collection. Its scale makes it ideal as a desk centerpiece or side-table accent.
